Harvard University physicist Russell Seitz’s ‘Bright Water’ concept is a new way to cool parts of the planet by pumping bursts of tiny bubbles into the ocean which will increase its reflectivity and lower water temperatures. Russell states that injecting extra bubbles into the sea will lower the temperature of the water and the planet.

It could be innovative method to cool the earth however, it doesn’t explore about the effects of this bubbly ocean on sea life like marine animals, fish and corals. Only time will tell how a carbonated ocean will cool the planet.
